Built by a trader.
For traders.
Pipnotic was founded in 2011 by Sarid Harper — a computer scientist turned institutional market analyst who spent nearly two decades in offensive IT security before turning his technical precision on the financial markets.
From security assessments
to market structure
Sarid Harper studied Computer Science at the School of Business and Economics in Aarhus, Denmark, specialising in offensive IT security — reverse engineering, malware analysis, vulnerability assessment, and secure coding. He went on to work for leading security consultancies including F-Secure Corporation, spending nearly two decades performing security assessments for banks, pharmaceutical companies, insurance groups, and major technology firms across Europe.
It was through those security assessments — evaluating trading infrastructure for some of the world's largest banks — that he was first exposed to the mechanics of institutional market participation. He saw how price was constructed. How orders were managed. Where liquidity was manufactured and consumed. The patterns were not random. They were engineered.
In 2011, he founded Pipnotic — initially focused on price action tools built around currency strength and liquidity — and began the work of translating institutional market mechanics into tools that independent traders could actually use.
Teach to fish, not to follow
Pipnotic was never built to be a signal service you follow blindly. It was built to give you the same analytical edge institutions have — and the framework to understand why it works.
Institutional transparency
Every signal, zone, and indicator in Pipnotic maps directly to observable institutional behaviour — not lagging indicators or arbitrary levels. You see what Smart Money is doing and why.
Verifiable performance
Every strategy is independently optimised per symbol using five years of historical data, and every resolved signal populates a live track record. No cherry-picked results. No theoretical backtests buried in a footnote.
Multi-layer confluence
No single indicator tells the whole story. Pipnotic combines algorithmic signals, COT institutional positioning, SEC insider cluster buys, regime classification, and currency strength — multiple independent data sources pointing the same direction.
Trader education
Understanding why a setup works is more valuable than the setup itself. Pipnotic includes structured education covering market structure, Smart Money mechanics, trade psychology, and strategy — so you build a framework, not a dependency.
Eight tools. One edge.
Each module in Pipnotic was built to answer a specific question a professional trader asks before entering a position.
ASR · BASZ · TBL Signals
Three independently optimised strategies — Adaptive Statistical Reversion, Buy & Sell Zones, and Time Based Liquidity — each backtested per symbol on five years of OHLC history. Entry, stop, and target levels recalculated every scan.
COT Analysis
CFTC Commitment of Traders data for 28+ futures markets updated weekly. COT Index, commercial hedger positioning, and speculator net exposure — with actionable signal classification.
Insider Intelligence
SEC Form 4 and UK director dealings parsed daily. Cluster signal detection fires when 3+ insiders buy the same company within 30 days — one of the most statistically robust signals in equities research.
Regime Detection
ADX trend strength, Hurst exponent, ATR expansion, and EMA slope combine to classify each pair as trending, ranging, or breaking out. H4, D1, and W1 currency strength panels show intraday-to-weekly bias alignment.
Live Edge Monitor
Real-time distance tracking for all active signals. Progress-to-target bars, COT alignment, confluence scores, and price freshness indicators — everything needed to manage open positions at a glance.
Signal Performance
Verified track record across all resolved signals. Equity curves, R-distribution, per-strategy and per-symbol breakdowns. Every closed trade in the database, no exceptions.
Trade Simulator
Monte Carlo simulation across thousands of scenarios. Model win rate, risk/reward, drawdown, and ruin probability before risking real capital.
TradingView Pine Scripts
Native TradingView Pine Script implementations of the Pipnotic supply and demand and signal methodologies — so you can overlay institutional data directly on your existing charting workflow.
Sarid Harper
Sarid Harper is a Danish-English trader, software architect, and educator with a background in offensive IT security and nearly fifteen years of independent market research. He spent close to two decades in cybersecurity — including work for F-Secure Corporation — before founding Pipnotic in 2011.
He has presented as a premium webinar speaker for FXStreet, covering supply and demand approaches to forex, equities, and crypto. His work at Pipnotic centres on one belief: that the methods institutional participants use to move price are observable, learnable, and exploitable — if you have the right tools and the right framework.
Members consistently describe his approach as rare — not because it promises easy returns, but because it teaches the underlying mechanics rather than just the entry signal.
This gentleman is a one of a kind trader and educator. He shares his unique perspective and brilliant results on supply and demand readings along with amazing availability and fast feedback. Simple and clear.
